For anyone considering a career in Radiography, Minnesota is the place to be.  Minnesota has quite a few things that make it such a great choice.  The fact that Minnesota enjoys the full experience of all four seasons is just the beginning.  The state is also home to more than 10,000 lakes and offers some of the best fresh water fishing anywhere in the world.  The Twins and Vikings are two professional sports franchises that deliver great baseball and football games every year.

Now that you have an idea of what you can do when you are not working in Minnesota, let’s discuss your career as a Radiology Technician.  The first step is to get the appropriate education.  A Certificate in Radiology Technology is the minimum requirement.  Accredited Minnesota schools also offer Associate and Bachelor degree programs.  At last count, EducationNews.org found 15 accredited schools in Minnesota offering these programs.  All of these schools offer an Associate degree in Radiology Technology so finding a school near you shouldn’t be difficult.

The next step is to get licensed.  Like all other medical professions, Radiology Technologists must pass a Licensure Exam before they can be legally hired.  The Minnesota Radiological Society facilitates this process.  In Minnesota, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist exam is used for licensure purposes.

Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, for instance, are expecting to see 44 percent growth.
